Being Filled with the Spirit

The key to Simeon's great anticipation was that he was filled with the Holy Spirit. As believers today, we too must seek to be filled and guided by the Spirit. When we walk in step with the Spirit, He will lead us into greater revelation and understanding of God's truth. The fullness of the Spirit empowers us to live righteously, worship wholeheartedly, and cultivate within us a spirit of wisdom and discernment. We cannot manufacture anticipation for Christ's return in our own strength. Our flesh will become weary and distracted. But when we turn fully to the Spirit and make room for Him to fill us, He keeps our lamps burning and eyes fixed on what is to come. The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God destined for an eternal inheritance (Romans 8:16). As we yield to the Spirit each day through prayer, worship, and digging into God's Word, our anticipation grows for the glorious appearing of our Lord and Savior. The same Spirit who ra...

Communion with Jesus

St. Mathew 26: 27-29   27   Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying,  “ Drink from it, all of you.   28   This is my blood of the [ b ]  covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. 29   I tell you, I will not drink from this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.” I read this Scripture and I was thrilled in my spirit, knowing that Jesus is waiting to host us (His Bride) at the Marriage Feast. He is longing to have Holy Communion with us. Can you see Jesus seating us at the Banquet Table? Hallelujah!! I have a seat and you have a seat. My brothers and sisters, I plead with us!!! Do not allow the distractions of the world, flesh, and the devil to derail us and cause us to miss our seats at the table. Father,  I pray for my brothers and sisters that we will behold Jesus at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. Amen

Anticipation

Merry Christmas to you remarkable soldiers in the body of Christ. It is my prayer that this Christmas season will be a memorable one for you and your family. St. Luke 2: 25 - 32, tells us of Simeon who lived his life waiting for the coming of the Messiah, the consolation of Israel. He would daily wait in the temple for the arrival of Jesus because he believed in the Word of God. Simeon had the assurance of Holy Spirit that He will see Jesus. Simeon, who was so sensitive to the Holy Spirit, recognized Jesus as the Messiah on that glorious day the parents of Jesus brought the child Jesus into the temple.  The text always intrigues me because I strongly believe that countless other parents brought their children to the temple but Simeon knew this child Jesus was the One. I want us to stop, reflect and consider, what should be our posture  as we await the return of Christ Jesus to earth.  Jesus is coming back, as the scriptures foretold His imminent return. Are we like...

Be Vigilant

“ When Gideon took his warriors down to the water, the Lord told him, “Divide the men into two groups. In one group put all those who cup water in their hands and lap it up with their tongues like dogs. In the other group put all those who kneel down and drink with their mouths in the stream.”” ‭‭Judges‬ ‭7‬:‭5‬ ‭NLT The warriors represent the body of Christ. The 300 who lapped the water are warriors who realized that the King’s business requires haste and there is no time to delay. Those who bent their knees to drink water are those who are complacent and at ease in the Kingdom of God. Arise warriors in the body of Christ and be vigilant.

Cling to Me

“Then they wept aloud again; and Orpah kissed her mother-in-law [goodbye], but Ruth clung to her.” ‭‭Ruth‬ ‭1‬:‭14‬ ‭AMP‬‬ After reading text, Holy Spirit highlighted v.14, so I meditated on the Word.  God is calling us to a deeper level of intimacy with Him. He wants us to cling to Him, we must become His habitation, nothing else will do. Ruth was so steadfast in her devotion to her mother-in-law, “For where you go I will go and where you lodge I will lodge. …and your God will be my God..” We must not lose sight of  Jesus. Where can we turn? Oprah kissed her mother-in-law, Naomi, goodbye and how many of us have walked with Christ but presently, you are feeling like there is no use to continue. Maybe you have faced  or facing some painful situations and the devil is whispering that there is no sense in carrying on.  Please cling to Jesus, He never fails, He is a covenant keeping God. Let your roots grow deep down  in Christ Jesus, so you will bear fruit up...
