Cling to Me

“Then they wept aloud again; and Orpah kissed her mother-in-law [goodbye], but Ruth clung to her.” ‭‭Ruth‬ ‭1‬:‭14‬ ‭AMP‬‬ After reading text, Holy Spirit highlighted v.14, so I meditated on the Word.  God is calling us to a deeper level of intimacy with Him. He wants us to cling to Him, we must become His habitation, nothing else will do. Ruth was so steadfast in her devotion to her mother-in-law, “For where you go I will go and where you lodge I will lodge. …and your God will be my God..” We must not lose sight of  Jesus. Where can we turn? Oprah kissed her mother-in-law, Naomi, goodbye and how many of us have walked with Christ but presently, you are feeling like there is no use to continue. Maybe you have faced  or facing some painful situations and the devil is whispering that there is no sense in carrying on.  Please cling to Jesus, He never fails, He is a covenant keeping God. Let your roots grow deep down  in Christ Jesus, so you will bear fruit up...

Touching the Heart of Jesus

“For I will defend this city to save it, for my own sake and for the sake of my servant David.”” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭37‬:‭35‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Will God say that of us? Can God say of us, I will defend this community, this city, and this country for my daughter’s sake or my son’s sake? As I meditated on Is. 37:35, I was intrigued by God’s desire to defend the city for His sake and the sake of David. I wondered what David did to move the heart of the Father in such a way, then I remember, it’s David’s devotion and worship to the Father. O to fall in love with Jesus! Holy Spirit bring us in alignment with the heart of  Jesus  and make us a people who hunger and thirst to worship Him in spirit and in truth because nothing else will do.  May we center our affections on Jesus, see Him seated at the right hand of the Father, far above principalities and powers.
