Let's Celebrate
Exodus15:1 "I will sing to the Lord, for He is highly exalted. Both horse and driver He has hurled in the sea". After the Lord defeated Pharoah and his army at the Red Sea, the Israelites were exuberant in their worship to God; they celebrated the victory with every fibre of their being and it was a glorious time. They got out their musical instruments and got down to worship God. Can you see them jumping, skipping, running, clapping and dancing? The Lord had fought their battle and gave them victory, even the Egyptian recognized it, Ex. 14:23b, "Let's get away from the Israelites: the Lord is fighting for them against Egypt". Fast forward: Ex. 15:23 -24. How easily we forget!! The God who granted the Israelites victory over Pharoah and his army is still the God when they got to Marah where the drinking water was bitter.
